Levin Statement on NAFTA Renegotiations

Oct 17, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI) today released the following statement in response to the conclusion of the fourth round of NAFTA renegotiations:

“Renegotiation of NAFTA must include addressing boldly its most flagrant flaw - the impact of the shift of manufacturing and its jobs to Mexico through its rigid structure not only of very low wages, but wages suppressed by a pervasive lack of labor rights. Doing so is in the interest of workers and consumers in all three countries.”
