Jul 28, 2017 Issues: Trade

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Sander Levin (MI-09) today released the following statement on the departure of Chief International Trade Counsel Jason Kearns from the Committee on Ways Means. Jason has been nominated to serve as a Member of the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC):

“For over a decade, Jason has provided insightful analysis in helping us navigate trade issues. He has been a key part of efforts to take on the challenge of adapting trade laws to new conditions in a rapidly globalizing economy. His knowledge and work ethic have been indispensable to the Committee as the U.S. has considered specific trade deals from CAFTA to TPP and now, the renegotiation of NAFTA. The ITC will only benefit from his experience and talents once he is confirmed.”
