Rep. Mike Levin Honors North County Students as August 2024 Constituents of the Month
Carlsbad, CA – Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) announced Shae Adams, Ravi Bhat, Gretchen Bodensteiner, Carly Gonzalez, Mihika Juneja, Aleena Kim, Hayun Kim, Samy Kinthada, Psi Padhya, Nadia Razzaq, Divya Sharma, Sonali Sharma, Harshini Subramaniam, and Taylor White as his August 2024 Constituents of the Month for their efforts to increase youth voter literacy and engagement in North County San Diego.
As students preparing to participate in their first election, they organized a “Rock the Vote” event in Carlsbad, drawing in local youth with live music, food, and giveaways. Their event served to remind their peers of the importance of voting and to connect new voters with local civic organizations that could share information about voting in the general election.

“In preparation for the upcoming election, these students took the incredible initiative to organize a “Rock the Vote” event in Carlsbad for their peers. In a time when civic engagement is more important than ever, these students have shown remarkable leadership and dedication to ensuring that the next generation of voters is informed and active. They invited local school organizations, student-run groups, and even student bands to participate, boosting turnout and making the event a resounding success.
