Rep. Mike Levin to Bring IVF Specialist as State of the Union Guest

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) announced that he will bring Dr. Brian Acacio, head of a fertility clinic in Laguna Niguel, CA, as his guest to President Biden’s State of the Union address. Dr. Acacio is an expert on infertility evaluation and treatment and has some of the highest in vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates in Southern California. He is frequently named one of the top reproductive endocrinologists in California and in the nation.
“In light of the recent Alabama Supreme Court’s ruling on IVF and its potential national implications, it’s critical to highlight how families could be hurt by restrictions on IVF and reproductive health care,” said Rep. Levin. “I am deeply concerned by this ruling and that’s why I am bringing Dr. Acacio as my guest to the State of the Union. His life-changing fertility work has helped thousands of California families and together we will deliver a clear message that IVF must be protected across the country. As we defend reproductive freedom from attacks by extremist MAGA Republicans, I am proud to stand with Dr. Acacio and President Biden to ensure families have access to the reproductive tools and health care they need.”

Dr. Acacio has been featured in hundreds of publications and lectures in nationally recognized peer-review journals and conferences. He is committed to teaching young physicians, as well as serves as a Committee Chairman for the Pacific Coast OB/Gyn Society (PCOGS). He is licensed to practice medicine in California and has medical staff privileges at some of the leading hospitals throughout Southern California.
