Rep. Mike Levin’s Statement on the Passage of the EXPLORE Act
Washington, D.C. – Today, the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act, which includes provisions from Rep. Mike Levin’s Get Rewarding Outdoor Work for Our Veterans (GROW) Act, passed through the House of Representatives. Rep. Levin (CA-49) released the following statement regarding the passage:
“Today, I voted in favor of the EXPLORE Act and was thrilled to see it pass in the House. This bipartisan legislation would expand public land access, enhance outdoor recreation infrastructure, and ensure that our public lands and bodies of water are preserved for generations.
“Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve worked hard to improve access to our public lands while maintaining protections for our environment. That’s why I’m pleased that the bill includes my Get Rewarding Outdoor Work for Our Veterans (GROW) Act, which will help connect veterans with outdoor conservation and resource management jobs across our nation.
“As outdoor recreation continues to expand, we must do everything we can to facilitate veterans’ access to rewarding career opportunities that protect our environment and our public lands. I hope the Senate advances this vital piece of legislation so it can be sent to the President’s desk.”
