Representative Levin to Serve on House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Oceans, and Wildlife; and House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources

Washington, D.C. –  Today, Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) announced that he will serve on the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Oceans, and Wildlife; and the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, both of which will have jurisdiction over critical issues for communities in the 49th District.

“The health of the Pacific Ocean and California’s coastline is vital to the people and businesses in my district, and I look forward to serving on subcommittees that will have a direct hand in protecting our water, land, and wildlife,” said Representative Levin. “We will also debate important issues surrounding our energy future, and I will continue to advocate for the bold clean energy policies we need to effectively combat climate change.”

Representative Levin will bring his expertise as an attorney focused on energy and environmental issues to the committee and fight to combat climate change and protect America’s land, water, and wildlife. Levin is a member of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition, and has cosponsored legislation to prohibit future offshore oil and drilling leasing. He was one of the first Members of Congress to endorse the Green New Deal.
