Rep. Mike Levin Honors San Clemente Resident Debbie Hansen as September 2026 Constituent of the Month

San Clemente, CA—Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) named San Clemente resident Debbie Hansen as his September 2026 Constituent of the Month for her work helping families navigate personal crises, expanding career opportunities for women, and giving back to the Orange County community.
In 2017, Debbie established The Flora May Foundation, named in tribute to her mother, after her experiences raising twin daughters as a single parent revealed how difficult it can be for families to find support during challenging times. A third-generation community servant, Debbie has spent much of her life supporting local organizations and advocating for those in need. Today, the nonprofit assists hundreds of parents each year, offering free counseling, crisis response, transportation assistance, and support groups to families confronting mental health challenges, substance use, and other difficult circumstances.
Building on this mission, Debbie created Working Women Winning, an initiative designed to help underemployed women enter the workforce and establish long-term financial security. Her efforts continue to open doors for women, provide a lifeline to struggling parents, and strengthen the community she calls home.
See below for Rep. Levin's statement recognizing Debbie Hansen in the Congressional Record:
“Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor Debbie Hansen of San Clemente as my Constituent of the Month for September 2026.
“For nearly a decade, Debbie has devoted herself to making sure families have the resources and support they need when life presents its greatest challenges. Inspired by her own journey as a single mother, she created The Flora May Foundation which provides parents with free counseling, crisis assistance, and other critical resources.
“Her passion for helping others also led her to establish Working Women Winning, a program that equips women with the skills, connections, and opportunities necessary to build rewarding careers and achieve financial stability. Her leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to improving the lives of those around her.
“Through her tireless service, Debbie has provided hope to families during their most difficult moments and helped countless women pursue brighter futures. I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing Debbie Hansen for her outstanding contributions to our community and her unwavering dedication to helping others.”
