Rep. Mike Levin’s Statements on the War in Israel and Gaza
Washington, D.C. - Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) released the following statement regarding the ongoing conflict in Israel and the barbaric attacks by Hamas on innocent civilians. Earlier in the week, he released these statements on his social media page.
“I unequivocally condemn Hamas’s attacks on Israeli civilians, which has included the kidnapping and killing of children and seniors in their homes. I send my condolences to the families of the American citizens who had their lives taken by Hamas terror attacks. The world must stand with Israel as it protects its people. I know the U.S. Congress will.”
Additionally, Rep. Levin signed a joint statement from the Jewish Members of the House of Representatives condemning the terrorist attacks in Israel. Read the statement here or below.
“We are united in standing with and supporting our ally Israel as it responds to terrorist attacks from Gaza. Hamas has declared war on Israel and her people. Our alliance with Israel is unbreakable; our commitment to Israel’s security is ironclad. We extend our condolences to the families of all those killed, our hopes for recovery for the many hundreds wounded, and pray for the safe and immediate return of all hostages taken. We support Israel’s right to defend itself—to protect its people and communities—and will do all we can to ensure Israel has the ability and capacity to restore and maintain its security and the safety of all its citizens.”
