Representative Levin Announces Fallbrook Union School District Set to Receive $47 Million in Federal Funding
Oceanside, CA - Today, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) announced that Fallbrook Union School District, which includes Mary Fay Pendleton Elementary School on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, is set to receive more than $47.5 million in federal funding to address capacity and facility condition deficiencies. These resources are made available through the Department of Defense Public Schools Military Installations Program and their allocation is determined by a priority list developed by the Secretary of Defense in 2011.
“I am thrilled to announce that the Fallbrook Union School District is being awarded nearly $50 million for critical upgrades to the Mary Fay Pendleton Elementary School on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton,” said Representative Levin. “Students deserve safe and healthy learning environments, and I am glad to see the Defense Department invest in our district and address these much needed repairs.”
Representative Levin is a proud supporter of public schools. In February, Representative Levin cosponsored the Rebuild America’ Schools Act, which would fund $70 billion in grants and $30 billion in bonds to help address critical physical and digital needs in classrooms all over the country.
