Rep. Mike Levin Honors Michelin-Star Chef Roberto Alcocer as August 2023 Constituent of the Month
Oceanside, CA – Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) announced Oceanside restaurateur, chef, and Michelin-star recipient Roberto Alcocer as his August 2023 Constituent of the Month.
Rep. Mike Levin is honored to recognize the work of Alcocer in establishing an incredibly vibrant local restaurant and earning such a prestigious award less than two years after his immigration to California’s 49th Congressional District.

“M. Speaker, it is my great honor to recognize Oceanside restaurateur, chef, and Michelin-star recipient Roberto Alcocer as my August Constituent of the Month.
“Roberto’s story is one of vision and drive, immigrating to the United States to pursue his dream of receiving a Michelin star. Since opening his restaurant Valle less than two years ago in October 2021, Roberto has continually exemplified the tastes and smells of our community’s vibrant culinary scene for all who visit.
“Small businesses and restaurants improve both our livelihoods and our economy, and Roberto’s hard work as Executive Chef has made Valle into a shining example of these benefits in action. Roberto Alcocer truly deserves his Michelin star, and I’m proud to honor him as my August 2023 Constituent of the Month.”
