Representative Mike Levin Releases 2019 Progress Report Highlighting Bipartisan Accomplishments, Constituent Service Successes
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) released his 2019 Progress Report highlighting his bipartisan accomplishments and constituent service successes for the 49th District this year.
“My number one priority has been working across the aisle to deliver results on local priorities for North County San Diego and South Orange County families,” said Rep. Levin. “While we have made incredible progress in just one year, there is much more to be done. As long as I have the opportunity to serve in Congress, I will continue to fight for the issues that matter to my constituents.”
Highlights from Rep. Levin’s 2019 Progress Report:
- Introduced 12 bipartisan bills, including nine that have passed the House of Representatives, and two that have been signed into law by the President.
- Held 26 constituent coffees, responded to over 50,000 constituent messages, and made over 80 visits to local businesses, schools, non-profits and more.
- Helped over 220 constituents with issues involving federal agencies, resulting in more than $197,958 returned to them.
- Received over $269,441,000 in federal grants for organizations in the 49th District.
Last week, Representative Levin announced that the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) $300 million in federal funding that he fought for to help address pollution in the Tijuana River Valley (TRV). He also announced that he secured $128 million in military construction funding for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
